Motorola's first attempt at a Windows Mobile phone, the Q features a 1.0 GHz Intel Atom processor, 320 x 240 touchscreen display, 64MB internal memory, and microSD expansion. A 3.2-mm headphone jack, 2-megapixel camera, and 1,200 mAh battery power the Q's feature set. The Q is available in black, white, or red. The Q is Verizon Wireless' first Windows Mobile 5.0 phone.
Motorola has introduced a touchscreen-based device, the Q2. This is, of course, the second generation of the Q, and it's got a choice of two screen sizes: 320x240 and 480x320. It also comes with Motorola's QuickVoice feature, a touch-sensitive menu key for easier navigation.
The V710 (also known as the Comet) was a Windows Mobile smartphone developed and sold by Acer. The phone is aimed at the consumer market and was launched in late 2005. Features include a 3.2-inch HVGA touchscreen, a 3-megapixel camera, a 1.3-megapixel camera, and a 5.0 megapixel camera. The phone will also feature a full QWERTY keyboard.
The Q is a touchscreen phone with a 320x240 display, 2-megapixel camera, VGA camera, 3.5 mm jack, 3G, Bluetooth 2.0, USB 2.0, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi hotspot, and a microSD card slot. Motorola is expected to release an updated version of the Q with Windows Mobile 6.0 in the third quarter of this year. It will offer a larger internal memory and optional Windows Mobile 6.0 OS.
Motorola tried their best to differentiate the phone from the BlackBerry: Active sync support for Exchange and the ability to use an optional hardware keyboard. However, the keyboard could not be used at the same time as the touchscreen or ActiveSync, so users would be forced to learn a new keyboardless interface (other than BlackBerry's keyboard).
